Refund Policy

Effective: August 15, 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains the refund rules currently enforced by Boring Shows for event tickets and clarifies the present status of Boring Dramas digital content. Event-specific terms shown before checkout may add conditions, but they do not change a right that applicable law requires.

2. Customer-Initiated Event Refunds

A customer may submit a refund request only when all applicable conditions are met:

  • The paid event is still upcoming and the request is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start.
  • The selected ticket has not been scanned, used, previously refunded, or included in another active refund request.
  • The order has a completed paid transaction. Free, complimentary, bypass, and fully discounted bookings have no paid amount to refund.
  • The request passes verification and review. Submitting a request does not itself mean it has been approved.

There is no automatic 24-hour cooling-off window and no automatic 50% refund window in the current Platform. The 48-hour cutoff above is the rule currently enforced for ordinary customer requests.

3. Refund Amount

  • The refundable amount is the eligible ticket subtotal actually paid, after discounts.
  • For a customer-initiated cancellation, the convenience fee and tax charged on that fee are non-refundable.
  • If only some unused tickets in an order are eligible and selected, the Platform may process a proportional partial refund for those tickets.
  • A refund cannot exceed the amount captured for the relevant order or tickets.

4. Organizer Cancellation or Material Change

If the organizer cancels the entire event, the cancellation workflow may return the full captured amount, including fees, to the original payment method. If an event is postponed or materially changed, instructions and any available options will be communicated for that event; do not assume a request window or outcome that has not been announced.

5. How to Request an Event Refund

  1. Sign in to the account used for the booking.
  2. Open My Tickets and select the relevant booking or ticket.
  3. Choose Request Refund when the option is available and confirm the tickets included.
  4. If the option is unavailable but you believe the event was cancelled or the status is wrong, contact support@boringshows.com with the booking reference.

6. Processing

Approved refunds are submitted to the original payment method through an external payment processor. The time for a credit to appear is controlled by the payment provider, bank, and payment method. Keep the booking and refund references until the credit appears, and contact support if the provider's stated processing period has passed.

7. Boring Dramas and Digital Content

The current Boring Dramas experience does not provide a customer checkout for Drama access, so there is presently no Boring Dramas purchase to refund through this policy. A "locked" or access-controlled episode is not a purchase confirmation. If paid digital content is introduced, its price, access period, billing method, cancellation or refund rule, and restoration method will be disclosed before purchase. Purchases billed through an app-store provider will also follow that provider's refund process.

8. Duplicate Charges and Payment Disputes

If you see a duplicate charge, a charge without a completed booking, or an incorrect refund amount, contact support promptly with the booking reference and payment transaction reference. Do not send full card, UPI PIN, OTP, or banking credentials.
